1. Kobiela, based in Bytów (BK Barbecues), provides a 24-month warranty, effective from the date of purchase, on concrete barbecues and fire pits, as well as on accessories manufactured by BK Barbecues.
  2. The warranty period is reduced to 12 months in the case of a barbecue or fire pit purchased for commercial purposes (purchase with a VAT invoice).
  3. The warranty covers material defects and defects arising from manufacturing faults.
  4. The warranty does not cover:

a) damage resulting from improper use, particularly the use of unauthorised fuels;

b) damage resulting from incorrect assembly, storage or maintenance of the product;

c) damage caused during transport and unloading;

d) damage caused whilst carrying out alterations or modifications to the barbecue/fireplace;

e) damage caused by external factors (e.g. fire, flood, vandalism, etc.);

f) wear and tear on the surface of the barbecue resulting from its use;

g) defects arising from the characteristics of concrete products which do not affect the proper functioning of the barbecue/fireplace (see Notes);

g) the stainless steel coating, which discolours as a result of excessive heat exposure;

  1. Warranty repairs (or replacements) will be carried out free of charge, provided that the warranty card and proof of purchase are presented.
  2. The method and scope of the repair shall be determined by the party providing the warranty.
  3. The time taken to carry out a warranty repair should not exceed 28 days from the date the complaint is received.
  4. The term ‘repair’ does not include any actions set out in the user manual which the user is required to carry out themselves.
  5. The warranty does not cover the right to claim compensation or reimbursement for lost profits arising from the malfunction of the barbecue/concrete fire pit.
  6. BK Barbecues is exempt from liability under the warranty if the purchaser was aware of a defect in the product at the time of purchase (e.g., in the case of purchasing a product classified as ‘second-grade’).

Notes

  1. The manufacturer reserves the right for variations in colour shades to occur in through-coloured concrete components; such variations shall not constitute grounds for a complaint.
  2. Calcium efflorescence may appear on the manufactured concrete components. The formation of efflorescence is a natural, random phenomenon entirely beyond the manufacturer’s control. However, it is a temporary phenomenon and, depending on its type and severity, will disappear after a certain period of time. The above circumstances do not constitute grounds for a complaint.
  3. In some cases, colour variations may occur in concrete products. These variations result from different curing conditions (temperature, air humidity, changes in weather). The age of the concrete is also a significant factor influencing changes in the colour of the products. Colour variations may become apparent when products from different production batches are used in a single construction project. The above circumstances do not constitute grounds for a complaint.
